From Childhood Friends to Lifelong Partners: A Journey of Love and Friendship

Judah and Julia go way back— they have been connected since they were just five years old. Their story began in a cozy home church group where their families crossed paths.

Both homeschooled, they shared the same co-op adventures and quickly became inseparable friends. But when Judah moved to West Virginia at twelve, their connection dwindled to the occasional Christmas card.

However, Judah’s family returned to Georgia when he was fourteen, and they reconnected at an English Country Dancing event his mom organized. These gatherings brought them back together, rekindling their sweet friendship.

In 2022, their bond deepened into a beautiful best-friendship. They were practically inseparable, spending countless hours on calls and hanging out.

Even though college took them to different schools, their friendship only grew stronger. It wasn’t long before they realized their feelings for each other were much deeper than friendship, though they hesitated to risk losing our special connection.

On January 2, 2023, Judah asked Julia to be his girlfriend. Ten months of wonderful dating later, Judah surprised Julia with a proposal at the charming House O’ Dreams at Berry College.

Y’all the scenery here is absolutely beautiful. I seriously had no idea how charming this location was until I recently visited. The campus is full of gorgeous landscapes like lush forests, rolling hills, calm lakes, and lovely gardens. It’s perfect for a couple that wants a quiet setting for their engagement photos.

Berry College has historic and charming architecture, like the famous Ford Buildings, which add a touch of elegance and timelessness to your pictures. For Judah and Julia’s engagement photos, we of course had to visit the House O’ Dreams where Judah proposed.

In addition to its charming architecture that feels like you’re stepping back into the Victorian/Gothic era, Berry’s College campus offers numerous spots scattered throughout that are the perfect setting for romantic engagement photos. From the House O’ Dreams to the Old Mill and the Reflecting Pools, there are plenty of unique and beautiful locations to choose from, giving you a diverse and visually appealing photo album.
