It was a gorgeous autumn day to document a surprise engagement proposal. The sun illuminated the surroundings, and the weather was ideal in North Georgia, creating a perfect temperature to feel relaxed and comfortable. This provided an opportunity for capturing stunning golden hour photos in the corn maze, with the sunlight bouncing off the vibrant yellow corn stalks. This fall engagement surprise proposal was one to be remembered for years to come! 

A Journey Through Friendship with Tucker from Elementary School to a Fall Engagement Surprise Proposal

Tucker has been my best friend since elementary school, so it was incredibly meaningful to capture this significant moment in his life. Being a part of it felt special, considering we’ve been a part of each other’s lives for so many years.

The Story of Tucker and Sarah

Tucker and Sarah first crossed paths during a college night out. Tucker, originally planned to have a night out with his friend as a wingman, unexpectedly connected with Sarah, who happened to be the best friend of another girl in their group. Despite being connected in similar social circles, their conflicting schedules prevented them from meeting earlier, despite sharing mutual friends for years.

This turned out to be the perfect fall engagement surprise proposal that was in a corn maze and pumpkin patch. The vibe was relaxed and enjoyable, filled with laughter and playful moments. Tucker playfully attempted to munch on the corn, while Sarah wore a constant smile, and could not stop laughing. Essentially, it felt like spending time with friends, just with a camera capturing the fun.

Cute Fall Engagement Surprise Proposal Idea

After capturing Tucker and Sarah’s engagement photos in the Jaemor Farms corn maze, we moved to a lively, colorful pumpkin wall for more delightful shots—little did Sarah know, Tucker was planning to propose there. To call her reaction a shock would be an understatement. Interestingly, Sarah was the one who initially reached out to book their fall couples session. Tucker lucked out because we were already there, dressed nicely, and she had no clue about the proposal. Despite her suspicions, Tucker and I did our best to keep her second-guessing right up until the moment of the proposal. I think it worked out well! 

Sarah’s ring is a vintage piece from a local boutique shop in Georgia. Witnessing Sarah’s reaction was both touching and heartwarming. She was genuinely taken aback!

Working with Tucker was fantastic. Tucker has been my best friend and honorary brother for as long as I can remember. We’ve been there for each other through every stage of life, and each new phase brings us new adventures while keeping our bond strong. Being able to capture their fall engagement surprise proposal was a true honor. It felt natural, considering he has been there for me countless times. Needless to say, it made the shoot much more laid-back and casually fun than a typical couples session. We were just having a great time, joking around throughout the whole process.
