In this blog, I am sharing some of my go-to faves around Piedmont Park in Atlanta that I love visiting for my couples’ engagement photos.

Piedmont Park in Georgia is a top spot for capturing your engagement, and it’s easy to see why! With its stunning views of downtown Atlanta’s skyline combined with the natural beauty of trails, gardens, and green spaces, it’s the perfect backdrop for romantic photos. Plus, it’s a great place to showcase some of Atlanta’s famous landmarks like the Lake Clara Meer dock and the Noguchi Playscape. If you’re looking to snap some unforgettable engagement photos, Piedmont Park should definitely be on your list!

PIEDMONT PARK ACTIVE OVAL
The skyline view in the park gives off major Central Park vibes from New York, with its cozy little corners that feel straight out of a ’90s romance movie; one of my favorite spots to shoot is on the grand staircases leading up to that skyline view.
LAKE CLARA MEER
The lake in Piedmont Park is one of my absolute favorite spots to shoot! Whether you’re at the charming gazebo, catching a reflection of midtown, or chilling on the dock surrounded by lush greenery, there’s no shortage of stunning spots around the Lake Clara Meer for your Atlanta engagement photos.
The Meadow
The meadow is a gorgeous green space ideal for spreading out a blanket and enjoying a picnic, but it tends to get pretty busy; if you’re aiming for a romantic picnic vibe in your engagement photos, I’d suggest heading there at sunrise for a more intimate experience.
Legacy Fountain and the Promenade
A fountain and staircase combo is always a winner; it’s a must-have shot for your Piedmont Park engagement photos in Georgia! This area is the perfect location in the park to capture the beautiful spring blooms. The flowers in the park add a stunning pop of color to any photoshoot, here.
Where to Park at Piedmont Park?
For your engagement photos, you want to park in the main entrance. If you attempt to get to the park from Atlanta Botanical Garden Parking deck, the parking attendants will redirect you to the park entrance deck, instead (this location is for everyone). You can also find free street parking or use the public parking at Piedmont Park.
However, if you are only wanting to visit the botanical gardens of the park, you can park here.
Because Piedmont Park is super popular, it can get pretty busy. That’s why I always suggest heading out early at sunrise to beat the crowds and snag those beautiful morning sunrise shots! If you’re there in the warmer months, the nearby farmers market offers a cool chance to get some candid, documentary-style engagement photos and have a fun time making memories together at the market. It’s a win, win!
